Survey: The Best Ways to Help Afghanistan
2026–2027
Why this survey? A great deal of aid reaches Afghanistan, yet people themselves are rarely asked which needs come first and which channels best reach those in need. AYP is running this survey to record, through an open and anonymous online survey, how people in Afghanistan and Afghans abroad see the priorities, the most effective ways to deliver help, and the role of young people and the diaspora.
How the results will be used: The findings will be published in a public report when the survey closes. Anonymous, aggregated results may be shared with research institutions, humanitarian organisations and United Nations agencies, so that aid programmes can be designed around people’s own voices. The survey is open until 30 April 2027, is for people aged 18 and over, and takes about 5 minutes. Taking part is opt-in, so the results describe the people who answer, not the whole population, and every result shows the number of respondents.
Privacy: We do not ask for your name, email or phone number. No individual response is ever published or shared; only group statistics are published. To prevent spam, the website system may record technical data such as your IP address; this data is never published or used in the analysis. Taking part is voluntary.
Data retention: Raw answers are deleted 24 months after the survey closes. Methods, ethics and data protection: Research Standards.
